Cool Treats Mini Lunch Box Notes

You all know by now (if you have been following me for a while now) how much I love making mini lunchbox note cards for my daughter’s lunch. Sometimes I just recreate a card I have already made on a smaller scale if I just love the layout, and sometimes I just come up with something new entirely. The later was the case for today’s projects. I was looking and the Cool Tteats Stamp Set and was thinking how warm it’s been here in California. Well, it’s certainly been warm enough for some delicious cool treats and my daughter probably wouldn’t turn them down in a snowstorm either, so in any case, she would love the cards. So I got started on making a trip of mini cards inspired by the stamp set.

I began with a Thick Whisper White Cardstock base for each of them, cut at 3” x 3”. The next layer was cut from regular Whisper White Cardstock at 2 3/4” x 2 3/4”. Then I took the Cool Treats Stamp Set and coordinating dies, the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies and stamped and cut out a few ice creams and popsicles. I stamped one ice cream cone in Lemon Lime Twist Ink and one in Bermuda Bay Ink. Then for the popsicle I wanted an ombré look, so I inked up my stamp, first in Lemon Lime Twist, then used my Sponge Dauber in Bermuda Bay to ink up the bottom half of my popsicle.

After I cut those out, I stamped some backgrounds for each of the mini cards using the Tabs For Everything Stamp Set, Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set, and of course the sprinkles from the Cool Treats Set in the sane coordinating colors. I added a few pieces of Berry Burst Cardstock here and there for a pop of color and used some of the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper (DSP) as it matched so perfectly with these cards. I added sentiments from the Tabs For Everything Stamp Set onto each of the cards. Finally, to finish them off, I added a few embellishments to each. I used Silver Mini Sequin Trim on one, Silver Metallic Thread and Metallic Sequin Assortment on another, and for the last card I used a few of the Iridescent Sequin Assortment. I hope you like these adorably sweet little cards! Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next post!
