Stampin' Up! Butterfly Cards with New In-Color Sneak Peek

Woohoo, it's Friday, Peaches!! It's been such a busy week for me and my family. My littles is going to be graduating from Kindergarten next week and her class has been doing all kinds of fun activities to kick off the end of the year. They've learned how to make ice cream, had a reptile show, and even a scrapbook day! Of course I was excited about the scrapbook day. I love any opportunity to share my love of crafts, and naturally, as a teacher, I love sharing this love with students. I taught them how to stamp, and would you believe they were naturals?! My heart just swelled to see them eagerly ink up their stamps and , with all the adorable focus they could muster, stamp their projects. I don't think I've had such a rewarding stamping experience with a class. It was a great reminder of why I love to create and share that love with others.

My projects today were inspired by my adorable little stamping friends. I had brought a few of the new ink pads to their class that day and they all just fell head over heels, just as I have, for the new, brightly colored Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. These colors were made for each other. I used them together on my Cake Crazy card in a previous post and I can't seem to stop using them! If you follow me, you may recognize the layouts of these cards. I just loved how my Mother's Day Card, using the large Butterfly thinlit, turned out, and I thought it would be fun to use my new favorite color combo for that same design. I did change up a few small things, and I just love all the layers! It's amazing how by just changing the color scheme, the cards take on a fun new look. Do you like the beautiful striped "patterned" paper? Well, that's actually a background stamp! In the current catalog Stampin' Up! had some super fun Designer Seriers Paper (DSP) stacks that coordinated perfectly with every color family. This past month these stacks were announced to be retiring and seemed to have sold out already!!!! I was a bit bummed that they were retiring, but luckily the simple, yet beautiful Diagonal background stamp creates the same look as the DSP in any color you want! What do you think?

These new ink colors and cardstock won't be available until June 1st, so you won't see them listed below. However, I've listed the other products used below. Thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time, Peaches, have a great day and fabulous weekend!
